I needed a sandwich break.
The ideal sandwich for a Raw Girl?
Sunflower Seed Bread
+ Almond Butter
= Delicious.
But I’d have eaten too much of it, therefore settling for an alternative. “The Gwendolyn Sandwich.”
Followed by snapping photographs of my weight loss after a gorgeous spin class.
The studio owner has earned my dedicated business! Can you guess of why? :)
Less fat + new shoes = big smile. :)
Ending our sandwich break, we happily returned to work, as all producers do.
What is your favourite sandwich?

I think your sandwich would be hard to beat. I haven’t had a sandwich in ages because all GF bread in the UK either has eggs or tastes like sawdust. I do love a good Sunbutter sandwich though.
Your smile is just gorgeous. So happy you are enjoying spinning!
xxx
I was a spinner before the yoga years. Bc yoga is a slow process for body transformation, I need something zippity quick; and spinning will do that, if my bod still responds like it did in 2007 and 2008. Once Kitchen Yoga is back in high gear, spinning shall remain on the schedule, twice weekly. I am happy that you like my smile! I am 6 months overdue for my gum and teeth cleaning!!! (I was extra smiley bc a very handsome silver fox had just nonchalantly flirted with me). :D xoxoxo
First love your top!
Second you are so fit!
Third shoes are always good!
Forth I loved Gwendolyn’s sandwich the most, though that Sunflower Seed Bread sounds awesome. I do eat gluten free kind, but very rarely. It’s a triggering thing for me. I’ve always wanted to try your lettuce burger. Why on earth didn’t I?… :)
Happy Friday, girl!
Yes! “Overeat” was a kind manner of saying “eat the entire loaf in one sitting” / “return to pantry 10 times, grabbing another slice during a one hour time frame.” Lol! The shirt’s a Vera Wang 2009. One of my faves! It actually reminds me of the short sleeved graphic t that you wore with shorts and sandals in one of your photos! Very girly. And we both have the same favourite sandwich it seems:) xo
I had to look up macros for the bread hehe. This looks like a cracker more than bread to me, but, good potential as a sandwich! And with almond butter. That is a suicide, I would need someone to ration me so I don’t finish it all. As I said in an earlier post, bread is my friend and allowed me to survive 18 years of starvation, so give me that sunflower bread!!! Nicolette, you have the sweetest smile, you smiling like that made me smile. Charming, you!
My fav sandwich: when 4 years old, it was a half baguette sandwich with French “saucisson” and no butter. The baguette had be “burnt” on the stove, as I liked my bread very crunchy to the point of disintegration with a look of charcoal. Now, if I were to indulge, that would have to be baguette bread with eggplant soaked in oil. And the reasonable-me would be happy with choc almond butter on 2 slices of grilled rudi bread. :)

Francoise
Oh you are so adorable! Simply adorable! I would like to have known young Françoise in France. I think we would have been lovely friends, as we are now. :) Your childhood memory prompted me to think, “What was MY favourite sandwich, as a child?” The answer? A cheese sandwich. Nom nom nom! My mother never agreed to it, of course, because everyone must eat meat. But I made my own impromptu version, always, by throwing away the meat. And after I became anorexic then bulimic during my senior year of high school, my “sandwich” was very much like the Molly Ringwald of ‘The Breakfast Club’ “sandwich”. (and I had not yet seen the film!!! didn’t until I went away to college during the next year). In the film, she brought sushi. And I brought crabmeat. Ha ha! I feel so very prim and proper at remembering that “sandwich.” I love you!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
You’re honestly so beautiful! And the cream coat? Elegance at its finest.
I don’t eat sandwiches often, and it’s not because I will binge (I’m so grateful I’ve never had problems with that), or because of the calories, it’s because the bread gets caught in my throat and I stop breathing for a few seconds. I’m a strange one. If I want bread I have to have a one slice, and my favourite way to have it is with avocado, basil, spinach and smoked salmon. Bliss!
Woa! Your described concoction sounds marvelous!!! I was thinking today that the ONLY thing that I miss on this raw diet is piping hot spinach! Perhaps that shall be one of my ‘benefits’? Ha ha! :D My version of your concoction, as a raw foodist, would be: avocado, basil, and raw sushi grade salmon. To have food cause one to stop breathing, oh my goodness, what a terrible feeling that must be for you. Cheers to you for working around it, and thank you for your gorgeous comment!!! Oh yes – the coat? It’s one of my “work” coats now. It’s a Calvin Klein 2003 or 4. Totally retired. Now it’s for the dark park. The classiest place that I go. Yet so dirty. :) xo
How is the sunflower seed bread? Is it kind of grainy in texture?
Have not experienced it yet. BUT, I did experience a raw pumpkin seed bar… and woa! It tasted purely NATURAL. All seeds. All live. And I needed to add some sea salt just because. I imagine that the sunflower bread would be crunchy. Let us have Sonja of Ves&Mork comment on taste because she’s tasted it before!!! (I shall dispatch her a message, notifying of our inquiry!).
That sandwich combo sounds so yummy! Nut butter sandwiches in general are always a satisfying choice, except I oftentimes end up having nut butters and/or nutella with greek yogurt instead of bread. That seems to be what I’ve been craving lately!
Lovely girl! You are light years ahead of my former positioned, at your age, food head. When I reminisce, I think, “okay, fabulous. I can get thin before I see him or her or bla bla bla.” But I know it’s not worth it. I simply must accomplish it, on my own. In response to hard work!
Tee-hee, the Gwendolyn sandwich! :D :D
Happy to see the progress with your getting fit! The two of you look gorgeous together in the forest picture, very classy! :)
Being in the forest with Gwendolyn is my favourite state of being in the world!!!!!!!!!
Your “Gwendolyn Sandwich” makes me smile.
The fact that my Gwendolyn Sandwich makes you smile has made me smile!
I hate sandwiches. If I have one I want 100. Eating is weak.
Precisely why I can’t eat sandwiches! Except I’d want 99 because I prefer odd #s. ;)
